Always, Patsy Cline

Titled after the vinyl album that was spinning as I painted, this photo image was captured of my Mom’s peony flowers. The morning she passed away, I could see that she had been transplanting them, and she had freshly labeled them with a wooden spike. I replanted some of of the peonies in my garden, and when they bloomed, I snapped this photo. The photo was glued to a wood frame, and my assistant (Darin Starr) helped me cover the piece with resin. Acrylic paint was applied as a finishing touch. Music by Darin Starr
