A Moment the Water Remembers

Photography, Acrylic and Oil on Wood (16x24)

A cascade of water tumbles down the rugged cliffs of Multnomah Falls, its mist rising like a veil between past and present. The iconic bridge, suspended midway up the falls, stands as both an architectural marvel and a quiet witness to time. This piece, blending photography and painting, captures the breathtaking scale of nature’s power while preserving an intimate moment within it. If you look closely at the tiny figures on the bridge, you’ll find two familiar silhouettes—my husband and my father-in-law—etched into the scene like ghosts of a cherished memory. This painting is more than an image; it is a window into a moment, a fusion of art and life, where love and landscape intertwine.
