Holistic, compassionate and playful art and drama instructor with 22 years of experience helping students gain self-awareness, confidence, collaborative skills, and to realize their own limitless possibilities through the vehicle of the visual and performing arts.

Recently Denia worked with musician Erick Baker to create a theatrical adaptation of his children’s book, Willie the Weed, which debuted in early 2023.

Deeply interested in practicing and teaching the arts as an empowering and therapeutic experience, in her free time, Denia enjoys making music with her husband, Darin Starr. Together they formed the band Sketch Eclectic, and released their first original album in 2020. A visual artist as well, she invented a mixed media technique combining photography and painting.
